Maryland Rebates
Maryland’s rebate program offers a maximum rebate of $2,500 for solar water heating systems and $10,000 for photovoltaic systems. Additionally, Montgomery County offers a nickel rebate for each kWh of solar energy used.
Maryland Tax Credits
Maryland offers a Clean Energy Production Tax Credit of $.0085/kWh. Green building tax credits in the amount of 25%, with a maximum of $120 per square foot are also available.
Tax exemptions are obtainable for both sales taxes and properties, with some additional exemptions allowed by the different counties.
Financing Options
Maryland offers two separate loan programs, one of them interest-free for financing solar systems. Additional lending programs are available through the federal government.
