What system sizes are eligible?

Coverage applies to systems up to 2 MW DC.

What equipment is eligble?
  • Panels
    • Brands currently listed on the Solar Insure AVL
  • Inverters
    • SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, Chint Power Systems (CPS), Solis, AP Systems, and Hoymiles
  • Gateways
    • SolarEdge and Enphase
How long is each component covered?
  • Panels - 30 years
  • Inverters & Optimizers - 20 years
  • Gateways (SolarEdge & Enphase) - 5 years
  • Racking, or other approved monitoring devices - same as manufacturer
What isn’t covered by SI-commercial?
  • Batteries and battery storage equipment
  • Hybrid inverter/battery products (i.e. Tesla Powerwall 3)
  • Roof Penetrations, Flashing, and associated roofing materials
  • Electrical equipment such as conduits, wiring, grounding equipment, and junction boxes
  • Structural mounting systems and hardware for covered equipment, such as ballast supports, ballast materials, and weights
  • Internet connectivity and communication kits, cell kits, modems, wireless routers, and range extenders
Can warranty ownership be transferred?

Yes, the warranty is attached to the address on which the solar energy system is installed, allowing it to transfer to a new property owner with no fees.
