What happens if my installer or the equipment manufacturer goes out of business?

Once your system is enrolled after installation, your coverage remains in place. SI-30 warranties are issued by Solar Insure. If you ever need support, you can contact Solar Insure directly and the service team will take care of the rest.

Is the Solar Insure warranty registered automatically?

No. Your Certified Provider will enroll the warranty in the Solar Insure platform when your system is commissioned. Ask your installer to confirm enrollment at project closeout.

Does Solar Insure cover all brands of panels and inverters?

Equipment coverage applies to manufacturers listed on the Solar Insure Approved Vendor List (AVL), available at solarinsure.com/solarinsure-approved-vendor-list-avl.

Can I transfer my Solar Insure warranty if I sell my home?

Yes. The warranty is tied to the property address, not to the original owner personally. It transfers to the new property owner at no cost, with the full remaining term intact.

What makes a solar company a Solar Insure Certified Provider?

To become a Certified Provider, a solar company must pass a five-part review covering safety compliance, business credentials, company stability, customer reputation, and claims history. Only companies that meet Solar Insure's standards earn Certified Provider status and can offer the SI-30 Warranty.

Are the providers shown here the only ones in the network?

No. The Providers above are a featured sample of the hundreds of Certified Providers across all 50 states and U.S. territories. Use the form to get connected with one in your area.

How can I verify an installer is actually certified?

Ask the installer for proof of their current Solar Insure Certified Provider status or contact Solar Insure directly to confirm. Certification is actively maintained, and companies that no longer meet our standards can lose their certified status.

What happens if a Certified Provider stops meeting the standard?

Solar Insure regularly monitors Certified Providers. If a company no longer meets our requirements for quality, service, compliance, or business performance, its certification can be suspended or revoked. Only providers that continue to meet our standards remain certified.

Does Solar Insure recommend providers in exchange for payment?

No. Featured providers are added based on qualifying criteria. When we connect a homeowner with a provider through the form, we route based on location and fit, no payment or incentives are exchanged
