A Commitment to Excellent Customer Experiences
Hear directly from Derek Acosta, Sales Director at Tiger Solar:
1. What does good customer service mean to you in this industry?
Good customer service starts with communication, transparency, and active listening. Solar is a significant investment, and here at Tiger Solar, we strive for our customers to feel informed and empowered throughout the entire process.
That means setting clear expectations, taking the time to understand each customer’s goals and concerns, and making the experience as seamless as possible from the initial conversation through installation, service, and beyond.
2. What’s unique about installing solar in your market/state? What problems are homeowners looking to solve, and how do you help customers solve those problems?
Virginia is a unique market for solar as the state and local legislation continues to explore solutions for growing energy demand while expanding access to clean, locally generated energy. With rising utility rates and new demand on the grid (including from data center growth) homeowners are increasingly interested in gaining greater control over where their energy comes from and what they pay for it.
The state also offers several advantages for homeowners considering solar, including 1-1 net metering, property tax protections for qualifying solar installations, and state protections that can limit an HOA’s ability to prohibit residential solar. Because Virginia truly experiences all four seasons, Tiger Solar prioritizes educating homeowners to help them understand how seasonal changes can affect solar production throughout the year, in addition to the importance of long-term system performance and maintenance.
3. What drove you to start working with Solar Insure? What impact has it had on your business?
Tiger Solar wanted to provide our customers with an added layer of protection that extends further into the lifetime of their solar system. Working with Solar Insure allows us to offer greater peace of mind by helping reduce unexpected costs associated with maintenance or product issues over the life of the system.
It complements Tiger Solar’s commitment to long-term service and gives customers added confidence that their investment is protected well beyond installation!
